A Mantra To Repeat When We're Jealous

Roderick Campbell

by Janne Robinson

If you are in a relationship and battle the green goblin of jealousy, this message is for you:

When we choose to feel jealous, we are playing small.

It is not that our partners don’t love us, it is because we do not love ourselves enough.

When we become jealous we are not standing in our power, we are cowering afraid from it.

We are not standing in our worth, our brilliance.

The next time you feel the insecurity creep up—I want you to repeat this mantra as many times as it takes:

I am a brilliant, worthy and deserving partner.

I am a brilliant, worthy and deserving partner.

I am a brilliant, worthy and deserving partner.

I am a brilliant, worthy and deserving partner.

Say it till it makes sense, say it till you believe it, say it till it goes away.

We are here to shine, to grow and so are our partners.

Let them shine, let them enjoy human connection—it’s why we’re here.

Life is more fun when we play big.

When one can stand in their power and say, “You are with me, because we love each other. You are with me because we wake up each day and choose each other.”

We must choose to love in confidence.

When we become jealous we are limiting the people we love to shine.

We must be confident enough to handle our partners light.

Look at their light and let it make our hearts bigger.

Know that just as our partner is desirable, so are we.

It’s why they picked you to dance with.
